For more information, visit www.progressrail.com and follow @Progress_Rail on Twitter and YouTube.Education / Training* High School diploma or GED.Key Job Elements* Pull parts for task at hand;* Operation of forklift;* Assemble, wire, and performs quality control checks on railroad signal structures;* Read blueprints and bills of material accurately;* Ability to move up to 75 lbs.* Maintain quality and production standards;* Follow all safety protocols;* Maintain a clean and safe work area.Qualifications and Experience* Attention to detail;* Must be able to stand in one place for an extended period of time;* Ability to read blueprints.* Ability to communicate effectively;* Experience with assembly functions desired;* Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required for employment.Essential and Physical Activities:* Strength - Must be able to lift and carry up to 35lbs, push and pull up to 75lbs;* Motion - Constant walking frequent and sustained bending, crouching, stopping, kneeing, squatting and overhead reaching and climbing ladders;* Vision/Hearing Requirements - Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and hear audible alarms;* Work Environment - Works on varied surfaces. Non-temperature control environment, all weather conditions with high noise and high dust levels;* Emotional Demands - Due to the working environment, noise, dust, personal protective equipment, employee must be comfortable working alone;* Safety - Safety Sensitive positions because it works in and around active tracks, rail cars, locomotives, and other moving equipment. Employee must abide by all safety protocols, health/medical screenings and utilize all required PPE.
