The Assembler is responsible for producing highly engineered, custom built mobile material handling machinery for rail related markets by using mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly techniques as well as welding, electrical wiring and hitching on overhead cranes and jibs.In this role, the team member will assemble fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations. They will test and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. They will use hand and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. They will be required to identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. Team members may assist less experienced team members with knowledge and expertise.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRead and follow standard work, BOM's, blueprints, routings, specifications and other diagrams/instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashionObtain necessary tools and equipmentHandle material, tools and equipment manually or with jib crane, performing own hitching as requiredFollows piping diagrams or other instructions to connect hydraulic/pneumatic hosing or piping accurately and timelyMaintain high quality standardsConsistently maintains level of productivity as determined by managementSpray paint parts as requiredLayout, cut and fit parts as required to weld in placePrepare machinery for shippingRebuild machinery and clean, repair, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust machine as necessaryWiring Principal DutiesFollow wiring diagrams/schematics to connect electrical cabling accurately and timelyPerform wiring sequence for point to point direct or harness wiringWire mounting panels and junction boxes per documentation/instructionsCreate or re-wire harnesses and cables per documentationGeneral DutiesFollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
