ASSEMBLER
Overview: Leslie Controls, Inc., a leader in the valve manufacturing industry, a skilled Assembler to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for setting up and testing fixtures, including gauges, valves, pumps, and additional equipment. You will assemble test loops, align auxiliary equipment, and install meters, gauges, and electronic measuring devices. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with valves, pumps, and high-pressure testing, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and Testing: Utilize blueprints to assemble products and set up test fixtures, including gauges, valves, and pumps. Perform assembly tasks, including aligning auxiliary equipment and installing electronic measuring devices.
- Data Recording: Accurately record and organize valve test data, ensuring all documentation is up to date and accessible.
- Valve Repair: Disassemble, clean, evaluate, rework, reassemble, and conduct final testing of valves, including hydro and operational testing.
- Quality Assurance: Consistently produce high-quality work by following blueprints, safety rules, and established procedures.
- Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety practices and guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years of assembly or mechanical experience, particularly in roles involving valves, pumps, or high-pressure testing. Experience with oil rigging, navy nuclear machinist duties, or similar high-level mechanical work is highly desirable.
- Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrated mechanical skills, including the use of basic hand tools, drills, grinding, presses, and rigging. Familiarity with hydraulic systems is a plus.
- Measuring Tools: Experience with micrometers, verniers, indicators, and other measuring tools, including an understanding of threads and metrology.
- ERP Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems for documentation and data recording, with solid computer skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required due to Department of Defense (DOD) requirements.
