- Perform assembly operations on parts with a variety of tools including small hammers, screw drivers and various hand tools;
- Perform cleaning operations on parts as required;
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts under the guidance of group inspector or Supervisor;
- Perform assembly operation as specified by Visual Method Sheets or Working Group Leader;
- Packaging of parts and preparation and completion of required documentation for shipment;
- Perform a variety of miscellaneous shop work, including work in the adhesive bonding room and other duties as assigned by Supervisor;
- Willingness to cross train with other departments as needed;
- Responsible to keep clean, orderly, and safe work areas;
- Adhere to Employee's responsibilities outlined in Cygnus' Safety Health & Safety Policy.
- Previous Assembly experience is a plus;
- Position requires good fine motor skills and ability to read and follow written instructions;
- Good mechanical ability is a plus;
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and sitting and/or standing for long periods of time; capable of lifting up to 40 pounds in a tandem lift;
- Must be available as needed for overtime;
- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold and/or noisy areas);
- Frequent hand to finger, handle, feel objects & tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing;
- Physically submit to periodic drug tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results).
