AssemblerPRIMARY DUTIES:Essential Functions/ Responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned:
- Assuring work area is safe.
- Performing the various skills of assembling a Case knife.
- Employee must periodically fill out maintenance and/or tool & die requests to ensure all machines and fixtures are within specification to produce a quality knife and help eliminate/reduce scrap.
- Employee is required to assemble, bracker, and spin all patterns of knives.
- Employee is required at times to carry trays from the work station to the RS hafting rack and RHC racks.
- Employee at times may be required to get empty trays from other areas in the factory to take back to the assembly department.
- Employee is required to clean his or her work area daily at the end of the shift.
- Employee must maintain adherence to safety initiatives while working in his or her respective area in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Employee is required to follow all quality assurance specification to find/prevent any defects such as (chipped or cracked covers, unacceptable center spins, unacceptable brackering, rusty blades, or unacceptable walk & talk).
- Responsible for cleanliness of the work area during and upon his or her completion of jobs.
- Take instructions from supervisors.
- Assist Engineering/Quality departments as needed.

- Standing: As required by operation.
- Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods in front of equipment.
- Moving: Normal, able to move throughout the department as required by operation.
- Lifting: Minimal, up to 35 pounds. Lifting of trays containing knives, and other components.
- Pushing/Pulling: As required by operation.
- Visual Acuity: Normal and/or corrected vision for inspection of work /components.
- Bending/Stooping: Normal, minimal.
- Hand Action: ability to pick up small pins and nails and put numerous parts together to make a knife.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of W.R. Case Job/Safety Orientation.
