Assembler - Cygnus Manufacturing Company : Job Details

Essential Responsibilities:Perform assembly operations on parts with a variety of tools including small hammers, screw drivers and various hand tools;Perform cleaning operations on parts as required;Perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts under the guidance of group inspector or Supervisor;Perform assembly operation as specified by Visual Method Sheets or Working Group Leader;Packaging of parts and preparation and completion of required documentation for shipment;Perform a variety of miscellaneous shop work, including work in the adhesive bonding room and other duties as assigned by Supervisor;Willingness to cross train with other departments as needed;Responsible to keep clean, orderly, and safe work areas;Adhere to Employee's responsibilities outlined in Cygnus' Safety Health & Safety Policy.Additional Skills & Responsibilities:Previous Assembly experience is a plus;Position requires good fine motor skills and ability to read and follow written instructions;Good mechanical ability is a plus;High school graduate or equivalent;Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and sitting and/or standing for long periods of time; capable of lifting up to 40 pounds in a tandem lift;Must be available as needed for overtime;Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold and/or noisy areas);Frequent hand to finger, handle, feel objects & tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing;Physically submit to periodic drug tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results).Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Women/Disabilities/Protected Veterans
