Assembler - Pflow Industries : Job Details

DescriptionSummary The Assembler Position is responsible for assemblingparts into more complex components to ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.The final product needs to be completed in a timely, cost effective and consistent manner to ensure a quality end product and on-time delivery in accordance with company procedures and policies and meet external customer requirements. 1. Reads and comprehends instructions and drawings to build accurate assemblies using specified components according to schedule demands and established procedures

Selects all materials, components and equipment and organizes to build assemblies in the most efficient, accurate and timely manner

Measures, counts and records materials and assemblies accurately

Cleans and organizes work area routinely

Maintains all required work orders, paperwork, records and documentation

Recommends upgrades, repair or replacement of equipment to ensure consistent and reliable operation

Completes forklift and other safety training successfully, operates only equipment for which training has been received and operates all equipment safely

• Requires education equivalent to a High School Diploma.
• Requires experience in a fast-paced, team environment preferably from a manufacturing business doing assembly
• Requires basic mechanical assembly knowledge and the ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
• Requires the ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
• Requires computer literacy and the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Requires strong organizational and time management skills, a high degree of detail orientation and accuracy
• Requires the ability to complete forklift training and operate forklift equipment safely
• Requires good verbal and written communication skills to give and receive information in English
• Requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Requires the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines while producing accurate and high-quality detail work
• Requires the ability to use basic office equipment: fax, voicemail, copier, calculator, etc.
• Requires excellent research, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills and the ability and desire to participate in the development and implementation of practical solutions
• Requires the ability to learn and understand the Pflow product line, the interactions between product components and the metal fabrication and assembly process

Work Environment The employee works in production environments. He/she may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to indoor and outside weather conditions. PERFORMANCE RESULTS:
