Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Tempe, AZ. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The primary function is to test potted modules with various electro-optical test equipment, evaluate, disposition, and rework image intensifier tubes to ensure that the product meets all specifications and that only quality products move forward.
  • Perform specialized tests and rework procedures as directed by supervision.
  • Maintain adequate throughput with high levels of quality.
  • Adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform a variety of processes on substrates or components to achieve quality and yield goals set by their department.
  • Produce a quality product that meets the customer specifications and maintains sufficient inventory to satisfy internal and external customers.
  • Perform inspection and tests on parts and assemblies per written specifications.
  • Use electrical or mechanical equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, current meters, voltage meters, dial calipers and indicators, height gauges, micrometers, and microscopes.
  • Complete and maintain accurate test data and records.
  • Interface with production and engineering teams.
  • Creation and maintenance of work instructions, visual aids, and standard work documents.
  • Use Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $19/hr.

Hours: 980 Reg-1st Shift.

Length: Temp (12 Months).

Job RequirementsRequired Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working a microscope while completing clearing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience performing essential functions on a PC.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree.
  • Experience handling small products/microchips.
  • Manufacturing work experience (including soldering and high-volume production).
  • Soldering certification.
  • Able to work in a dark room.
  • Close attention to detail and quality.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Teamwork oriented.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision if necessary.
  • Ability to make quality decisions quickly.
  • Patience.
  • Ability to multitask in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Working knowledge of electrical or mechanical measuring equipment and quality control terminology.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to work alone and with others.
  • Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to the job.
  • Ability to become familiar with Six Sigma problem-solving tools, 5Sm, and Lean methodologies.
