Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is hiring for an Assembler, who has experience with mechanical components assembly, to join our team. As an Assembler you will be responsible for assembling mechanical custom components according to specifications and quality standards. This hands-on role involves reading blueprints, using hand tools and machinery, and working closely with the production team to ensure that all assembled products meet the company's high standards and customer requirements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssemble mechanical custom components according to work orders, blueprints, and assembly instructions.Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble components and subassemblies.Request and recommend fixtures for accurate and secure assembly and general improvementsInspect and test completed components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Identify and resolve assembly issues and report any defects or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor/Manager.Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Collaborate with other team members to improve assembly processes and achieve production goals.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assembly activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and test results.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.Perform laser marking, as neededResponsible for conforming with the company's quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATIONA High School diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 year of mechanical assembly experience with small, precision partsProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.Experience using hand tools, power tools, and machinery for assembly.Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skillsStrong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasksExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, verbally and written, effectively with team members and cross-functionallyValues treating people well, has an empathetic approach and mindset, is ambitious and strives for personal and collective excellence, supports diversity and inclusion, and has a positive outlook and attitude.Pay Range: $19.00 to 25.00 an hourWhat We'll Offer You in Return:Base salary plus incentive programPaid time off (TOB, holidays, parental leave)Medical, dental, vision insuranceFlexible Spending AccountHealth Savings PlanLife insurance, enhanced short term and long-term disability insurance and other voluntary insurance plans401k Profit sharing planTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral BonusNational Employee Assistance Program529 College Savings ProgramProfessional development and trainingBrand new, modern workspace and manufacturing facilitiesCompany events and outings, from Employee Appreciation Day to professional sports gamesStable organization with opportunities for future growth within the companyAbout Precipart:Precipart engineers, designs and manufactures high precision custom solutions for the world's leading companies in the Medical, Aerospace and Industrial markets.
