These positions entail direct employment with the client that offers exceptional work culture, benefits, PTO, and growth potential.Job Title: Assembler - Aerospace ComponentsShift: 2nd, 3pm - 11pmPay Rate: $22/hr. - $25/hr.Summary of Position:The Assembler is responsible for assembling and disassembling nose and main landing gear components, primarily for the Boeing 777 program and various military programs. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and models to ensure precise assembly according to process plans. The Assembler will also perform acceptance test procedures (ATP) on hydraulic components and maintain traceability throughout the process.Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble nose and main landing gear components according to detailed drawings and process plans.
- Conduct acceptance test procedures (ATP) on hydraulic components, including shock struts and actuators.
- Apply rubber stamps (serialization) on parts as specified prior to final shipping.
- Identify proper and improper fits, alignments, and conditions of components during assembly.
- Seal bushings and apply paint sealant to all parts prior to honing.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvements; submit process change requests as necessary.
- Maintain lot traceability throughout the assembly and disassembly processes.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace through adherence to 5-S/Housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including strict compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required by schedule and workload demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- AME/A&P license or relevant aerospace experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience assembling aerospace components.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interact professionally and productively with team members.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and hydraulic schemes.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with experience or exposure to lean manufacturing practices.
- Ability to identify non-conformances during assembly.
- Competence in using hand and machine tools.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime when required.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel components.
- May be required to lift or move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Work primarily takes place in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels.
