Penn Valley Pumps is looking for an assembler to join our growing team!Job Overview:We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our assembly team. This role will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and packaging products on an assembly line or independently in a manufacturing facility. A pump assembler works with a team to ensure the efficient and accurate assembly of products while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is consistent, a team player, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.Responsibilities:Assembly:Assemble components and parts following detailed instructionsRead and understand the bill of materials and work order instructions, blueprints, or technical drawingsComplete assembly tasks, use various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses (may use cranes and hoists); Responsibilities may also include specialized work such as sheet metal bending and solderingStay updated on changes in assembly processes and product specificationsMeet or exceed production targets and quotasCollaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily and monthly targetsQuality Control:Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specificationsTest and troubleshoot assemblies Perform quality checks by established quality procedures and ISO requirementsIdentify and report defects or issues in the assembly process and necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure product qualityInventory Management:Monitor and request materials and components as needed for assemblyKeep track of inventory levels and report shortagesTraining and Development:Participate in training programs to improve assembly skills and product knowledgeAttend monthly EHS trainingsFollow all policies and procedures (i.e. report on time and ready to work - Start/Lunch/Breaks)Safety Compliance:Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.Lift a maximum of 35 lbs for an individual and 70 lbs for a team liftTest PSI limit no greater than 30,000 Cleanliness and Organization:Maintain a clean and organized work areaFollow 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) Requirements: High School Diploma or GED1+ years experience in assembly or other fast paced operationsCore Competencies:Demonstrated time management skills, strategic thinking, and adaptabilityGeneral computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials (SSO), JD Edwards, and Microsoft Outlook)Ability to lift up to 35lbsPreferences:Experience using various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and pressesAbility to read and understand the bill of materials and work instructions, blueprints, or technical drawingsTravel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:This position will be based at our site in Warrington, PA no travel.What we Offer:At Ingersoll Rand, we embrace a culture of personal ownership taking responsibility for our company, our communities, and our environment, as well as our individual health and well-being.
