Responsibilities3rd Shift - 10:30 pm - 6:30 am Monday through Friday Starting pay $21.38/hr. + $1.00 shift differential (Pay Grade HR130)MSA Safety in Cranberry Township, PA is now hiring for Assembler Sensor Manufacturing Production associates for our manufacturing plant.Position is responsible for the assembly, modification, and rework of moderately complex combustible, electro-chemical and infrared sensors and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring, soldering, and connecting. Position is also responsible for testing and troubleshooting. Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as related to production and company objectives is required. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.
  • Assemble and test (including set-up), complex combustible, electro-chemical or infrared sensors and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering. Some troubleshooting required.
  • Pick material out of the warehouse.
  • Perform visual inspections and minor repairs and rework.
  • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
  • Strong manual dexterity requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness.
  • Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts.
  • Ability to:
    • read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
    • understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
    • perform standard software operations including SAP.
    • regularly perform work that requires magnification.
    • concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
    • infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance.
    • infrequently stand in a stationary position.
    • use power and hand tools, and custom tooling.
    • work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments.
    • organize and prioritize work and operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
    • Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses, steel toe shoes, lab coat, sleeves, gloves, and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.
QualificationsEducation and Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 months manufacturing or other related experience (if lacking minimum months of experience, we will train you through our temporary agency before full time employment)
Experience Preferred:
    • Past soldering experience (training provided if no experience established)
