Job Title: Assembler Reports To: Rick Simon FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Approved By: Human Resources Director Approved Date: 10/11/2022ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. • Assembles components by fastening parts and subassemblies. • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Perform routine preventative maintenance and any trouble shooting required. • Inspect parts for inaccuracies or complications and discuss any issues with supervisor or manufacturing engineer. • Responsible for handling material at work station and maintaining a clean working station. • Knowledge on how to use hand tools, rivet gun, drill etc. • Ability to read and interpret blue prints. • All other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, protractors and machinist squares is a must; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
