Work may include the use of hand tools, power tools, gauges, fixtures, and machinery. Typical operations would include loading and unloading of materials from machines, light assembly such as attaching mechanical parts, bolts or nuts, installing bearing brackets, painting and packaging of parts or assemblies using defined methods.Essential Functions :Assembly machine operation in auto and manual cycles per the certification and/or work instructionsManual loading and unloading of assembly machines and part containersUse of various gauges to measure product characteristicsFollows established standard operating procedures per the certifications and/or work instructionsCollects, records, and analyzes quality data as requiredComplies with QS 9000 / TS 16949 requirementsMeets production schedules and targets as defined by the production plan, Supervisor or Line ManagerMonitors machine set-up and conformance to specificationsAll employees are responsible for having an awareness and understanding of IFA-Rotorion North America's commitment to ISO 140001Follows defined safety and housekeeping policiesAdditional Responsibilities:Acquire training and certification per the Assembly Coordinator, Supervisor, or Line ManagerTrains, monitors, and assists temps or new hires per the Assembly Coordinator, Supervisor, or Line Manager to acquire certifications and trainingEducation:High School diploma or general education degree (GED)Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceUnderstanding of tolerances limitsExperience:Basic understanding of industrial machines and gaugesFamiliar with lean production conceptsKnowledge of both metric and English measurement systemsKnowledge of basic mathematics skills including addition, subtractions, multiplication, and divisionMust have at least 2 years Manufacturing experienceSpecific Skills:Ability to perform repetitive operationsAbility to read and write EnglishPhysical Requirements:Must be able to walk/move about a 125,000 sq ft manufacturing facility: 100% of the timeMust be able to stand/walk/move about specific work area: 90% of the timeMust be able to bend/reach/twist/stoop: 70% of the timeMust be able to lift up to 40lbs on a frequent basis: 40% of the timeMust be able to lift over 40lbs on an infrequent basis: 15% of the timeMust be able to sit at a work station: 0% of the timeMust be able to work and operate a computer terminal: 80% of the timeVision is required to analyze and process work; and to work on computer terminal/machine centers, etc.Hearing is essential for safety reasons; and to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, suppliers and customers via conversation, group meetings, and/or phone conferencesMust be able to wear a painting suit and/or respiratorMust be able to work with paints/solvents/cleanersMust be able to work any shift as required including overtime as neededWhat we offer!At IFA North America LLC we take pride in selecting employees who will contribute to our success while finding personal reward and satisfaction in their work.
