Fisica Inc. is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive mechanical assembly operations on small and large mechanical systems that include electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and antenna system components.Essential Functions:
- Performs a wide variety of assembly operations on mechanical parts, assemblies, and subassemblies.
- Interprets and follows diagrams, T.O. specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- With experience using a wide variety of hand and pneumatic tools.
- Checks for work correctness and for conformance to specifications.
- Mechanical assembly of large antenna systems and sub-assemblies, gearboxes, large diameter bearings, etc.
- Interfaces with engineering, quality assurance, and test personnel to ensure subassemblies are inspected and tested at specified checkpoints.
- Work to be performed requires heavy lifts involving the use of cranes, forklifts and man lifts.
- May also be assigned to small assembly detailed work.
- May be required to travel for field work to install and assemble systems under supervision.
- Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Traveling as needed.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
In compliance with California's Fair Pay Act, the salary range for this role in California is $41,000 - $76,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
