Assembly StaffClassification: Hourly Reports to: Assembly SupervisorSummary Assembly Staff is responsible for leading the team to assemble products together and pack, in order to ship, quality and complete orders for customers. This position will involve detailed record keeping, analyzing data/information, having the ability to work independently or in a team environment, public speaking, critical thinking, and using good judgment in decision making. Essential Functions/Duties
  • Ensure that all employees observe and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor Inventory for accuracy and scheduling of replenishment including ensuring that supplies are available and ready for use (ex. making bulk boxes)
  • Ensures that the work is scheduled appropriately and that team members are stay on task and meeting critical deadlines
  • Lead responsible for forklift inspection for area
  • Ensure teammates are following housekeeping protocols
  • Proficient use/utilization of the ERP system
  • Lead the team members in supporting plant metrics that enable the business unit to efficiently monitor progress leading to the attainment of site objectives and a continuous improvement culture.
  • Be present on plant floor in order to provide direct supervision of these tasks and others assigned by Ops Manager.

  • Physical/Cognitive Demands This is largely a physically active role including walking long distances (over uneven surfaces) to/within our production facility, lifting 50lbs or more, and standing for long periods. Position also requires bending, stooping, squatting or standing as necessary. Cognitive abilities required include deductive reasoning, information ordering, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, written comprehension, and written expression. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand. Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in fasteners or steel products.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills is a plus
