Job Description :
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedule and direct the work of Bargaining Unit (Union) employees in the Manufacturing area to support Production schedules and manufacturing goals
  • Train employees and complete performance reviews for assigned employees.
  • Conduct daily staff meetings (Toolbox Talks).
  • Create a safe and well-organized working environment and actively support the safety process.
  • Maintain a productive and self-motivated work force.
  • Responsible for product performance to engineering drawings and quality workmanship.
  • Utilize cost efficient means of producing product and help implement a lean manufacturing workplace.
  • Be aware of and support company objectives and profit goals.
  • Work with Engineering staff to affect cost savings in products.
  • Manage and resolve issues with staff.
  • Conduct operations within the confines of Union contract.
  • Support and maintain conformance of company rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by manager.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 management system
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school education degree is required. A technical background or experience is desired
  • 5 - 7 years' work experience in a machine shop or machine building environment is required.
  • Prior supervision experience is required.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, learn current and new procedures.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with computers, utilizing email system, spreadsheets (Excel), and MIS systems.
