Job Description :
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule and direct the work of Bargaining Unit (Union) employees in the Manufacturing area to support Production schedules and manufacturing goals
- Train employees and complete performance reviews for assigned employees.
- Conduct daily staff meetings (Toolbox Talks).
- Create a safe and well-organized working environment and actively support the safety process.
- Maintain a productive and self-motivated work force.
- Responsible for product performance to engineering drawings and quality workmanship.
- Utilize cost efficient means of producing product and help implement a lean manufacturing workplace.
- Be aware of and support company objectives and profit goals.
- Work with Engineering staff to affect cost savings in products.
- Manage and resolve issues with staff.
- Conduct operations within the confines of Union contract.
- Support and maintain conformance of company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by manager.
- Awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 management system
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High school education degree is required. A technical background or experience is desired
- 5 - 7 years' work experience in a machine shop or machine building environment is required.
- Prior supervision experience is required.
- Must be able to read blueprints, learn current and new procedures.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work with computers, utilizing email system, spreadsheets (Excel), and MIS systems.
