Located in Corvallis, OR Salary: $25.00General DescriptionExpress is staffing for a company that installs a proprietary coating on existing solar arrays in North America, Europe, and Asia using a robotic applicator. Our coating increases the efficiency of solar panels by reducing reflection and soiling. This company is seeking to hire temporary positions for both near term robotic assembly needs (through June of 2025) and field operations throughout the coating season (through October of 2025). A combination of positions may also be available for qualified candidates.Near term robotic assembly will be located in Albany, OR. Those who qualify for field technician roles and are interested in moving to the desert southwest for the coating season will be offered a new contract at a higher pay rate and given company provided housing and per diem for the duration of their contract.Assembly technicians in Albany will work full time Monday-Friday and mostly indoors in climate-controlled space with occasional need to work outside. Those who get promoted to the field technician position will work an estimated 40-50 hours per week Monday-Friday with the potential for weekend work depending on the developing needs for the project you are supporting.Field technicians are responsible for quality control and maintaining equipment at the project including the robotic applicators. They are expected to do a wide variety of tasks in addition to their main responsibilities that may change from day to day to support the success of the project. We expect the first projects to start in May and the last ones to end in the October/November timeframe depending on the weather. Those that perform well under harsh field conditions will be invited to join our team again in 2026, but we generally do not have work for technicians during the winter months.Required Qualifications• Able to work legally in the United States• Able to pass a drug and background check• Willing to abide by standards of business conduct• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and system trouble shooting skills• Ability to safely use or learn how to use the following tools: chop-saw, drill press, basic hand tools, drills, impact drivers, and other miscellaneous hand tools• Able to lift and maneuver 50-60 lb. loads from the ground and overheadDesired Qualifications• A CDL• Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems• Experience using the tools listed above in the required qualifications section• Experience running projects following safety and quality control proceduresRequired Qualifications for Promotion to a Field Technician• All required qualifications listed above• A driver's license• Ability to work in harsh (hot, sunny, and dusty) environments for extended periods of time• Demonstrated ability to train others in operating machines following standard operating procedures• Demonstrated clear and active communication skills• Demonstrated ability to organize and keep track of various parts and hand tools in an ever-changing work environment• Experience using Microsoft Excel, processing data, and creating reports• Able and willing to travel and work long days/weekends when neededPay$25-$27 per hour DOE with the potential for promotion to a field technician position making $32-$37 per hour for those who prove themselves to be qualified, capable and dependable.Job Types: Full-time, Contract, TemporaryPay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 40 per weekCall our office 541-###-#### for an interview over the phone today!#alborExpress Office: Albany 2250 Southeast 14th Avenue Suite AAlbany, OR 97322
