This role is part of Robust.AI's Manufacturing team, as we grow to deploy our first production fleet of robots. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for many tasks pursuant to assembly of our robots. This role will be on-site at our San Carlos office, 5 days/40 hours per week. Some travel may be required. This contract will be, at minimum, a 6-month commitment. The starting hourly wage for this role is $35.00 - $45.00 per hour; the final compensation for this role will be based on the candidate's unique skills and experience.Main responsibilities:
    • Assemble all mechanical and electrical components of the robot according to work instructions
    • Perform in-line and end-of-line manufacturing tests
    • Record and track performance bugs during manufacture and deployment
    • Assist in quality control and inventory management
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the robot construction
    • Provide feedback on work instructions and technical documentation
    • Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work environment
Requirements:
    • 4+ years of experience assembling electro-mechanical hardware, or in a related industry
    • Ability to follow written instructions precisely, with superb attention to detail
    • Willingness to be flexible day to day, and take on a variety of tasks to make our team successful
    • Proficient in using Google Workspace applications, especially Sheets
    • Experience with power tools and assembly tools
    • Able to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and part schematics
Ideal Qualifications:
    • Basic SolidWorks experience
    • Experience writing Work Instructions, SOPs, or other technical documentation
    • Experience using command line interfaces, Linux-based operating systems, and simple Bash commands
    • Experience using metrology/inspection tools
    • IPC-620 Certification or wire harness manufacturing experience/ASE certifications
    • Experience with Jira, or project tracking systems
