We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Assembly Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standard of quality and efficiency that our company is known for. The successful candidate will be responsible for etching parts, maintaining an orderly work station, mechanical assembly, and dealing with valves and fittings. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with over 5 years of experience to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute mechanical assembly operations including fitting, alignment, and adjustment of parts to meet established specifications and quality standards.
  • Etch parts using a variety of techniques and tools, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications.
  • Maintain an orderly work station, ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment, promoting safety and efficiency.
  • Service, repair, and install valves and fittings, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide expert consultation on assembly processes, offering insights and suggestions for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and other teams to resolve complex assembly problems.
  • Perform inspections of assembled products to ensure quality and conformance to design specifications.
  • Train and mentor junior assembly technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and standards related to assembly operations.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, etching parts, and maintaining an orderly work station.
  • Proficient in handling valves and fittings.
  • Strong understanding of assembly drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to stand for extended periods.
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial technology) is preferred.
