The Assembler is a position that proactively supports our Production Manager, Sales Directors and others. The following is a brief description of the responsibilities assigned but not limited to other duties as assigned:
Duties & Responsibilities: Job Description:
- Assemble electronic and optical devices and components
- Use basic electronic assembly tools, hand power equipment, and various electronic test equipment to perform troubleshooting, testing and repairs of electronic and optical equipment
- Ability to understand and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, prints, and bills of materials
- Bench top assembly of coated optics using adhesives and drawings for product assembly.
- Inspect assembled and sub assembly products with use of a microscope.
- Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel &Word)
- Inspect and rework defective sub-assemblies.
- Meet a level of productivity as determined by management
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements: Requirements:
- Valid driver's license, satisfactory drug testing and background check required
- High school graduate, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Must be an energetic personality with strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions
- Develop new methods to improve functionality and efficiency
- Demonstrated success with maintaining quality control and data management
- Ability and willingness to learn new technology, software, & professional practices
- Able to communicate updates and work related progress to upper management both written and verbal
- Ability to pass pre placement physical
- Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
- This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is occasionally required to access the warehouse for inventory and materials as well manipulate equipment and instruments with precise hand and finger movements for specific periods of time. Must be able to reach, grasp with both hands. Physical demands include ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
