Westerman is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our equipment helps optimize well pad design, improve separation efficiency and lower overall equipment spend through high-performance surface separation and processing technology. Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.SUMMARYThe Assembler role is responsible for assembly of all piping, valves, gauges, reliefs, burners, and other associated equipment on pressure vessels and skids. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty or responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRegular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.
  • Safe and proper use of various hand/air/power tools.
  • Properly identify and inspect all parts for defects to ensure quality products.
  • Inspects all connections to ensure they are properly sealed.
  • Properly identify and document vessel parts/components.
  • Prepare and secure parts or vessels for hydrostatic testing per regulatory, customer and internal requirements.
  • Assist in loading of shipments.
  • Must have a positive attitude and learn Our Philosophy.
  • Must follow all safety & environmental policies & procedures.
  • Cut and thread pipe.
  • Install, align and seal flanged pipe.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 6 months - 1 year of assembly/manufacturing/material handling experience, or equivalent knowledge.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to safely use Crane and Forklift (certified).
  • Demonstrate basic math skills
  • Must be able to learn pressure gauges, application, and how to read them.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly blueprints and bill of materials.
  • Basic knowledge of lean methods.
  • Must understand and follow the quality & production policy and procedures - detect defects.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to entire length of shift.
  • Must be able to handle physical repetitive work.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend.
  • Must be able to see, speak, and hear.
  • Must be able to read instructions and all measuring devices.
  • Must use fingers and hands to manipulate tools and small parts.
  • Must be able to walk over both even and uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE.
  • Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds.
  • Some aspects of this position may require working in tight quarters.
  • Some aspects of this position may require close vision, depth perception, the ability to see small detail, and the ability to adjust focus.
