Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Skilled Assembly Technician to join their production team. This role requires a strong background in mechanical assembly and/or general construction, with experience in heavy industrial assembly. The ideal candidate will work on a variety of projects, ensuring precision, safety, and adherence to quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled, repetitive heavy industrial assembly operations in support of production projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings for accurate construction.
  • Operate power tools and mechanical measuring equipment safely and effectively.
  • Clean parts prior to production use as needed.
  • Support cycle count activity, inventory handling, and transactions following established procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain productive working relationships with team members.
  • Complete sheeting, trimming, and plumbing tasks for customer projects as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or general construction.
  • Proven experience in heavy industrial assembly, including electrical and mechanical assembly of materials.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Skilled in the use of power tools and mechanical measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to manage priorities, workflows, and work independently on complex projects with minimal guidance.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, squatting, reaching, and kneeling.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Pay: $19–$25 per hour, based on experience.
  • Shift: 1st shift, Monday–Thursday (4 x 10-hour shifts), starting at 6:00 AM. Friday is optional overtime.
