Career DescriptionWe are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team in Buckeye, AZ!New employees can earn 55K+ in total compensationwhen working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses.Opportunity for weekly production bonuses!There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives.Position is full-time with benefits!1st ShiftCurrently working 9 hour shift Monday - Thursday Day shift - 5:00 AM - 2:30 PMFriday Day shift - 5:00 AM to 1:30 PMMandatory alternating Saturdays Day shift - 5:00 AM to 1:30 PMAssembles steel joist components ready for final welding; performs such work consistent with corporate mission, values and department's financial objectives.Sets up jigs, reads and interprets shop drawings necessary for such work.Moves parts into position.Aligns parts.Tack welds or clamps parts into position ready for moving along conveyor to final welding area.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, cleaning, metal scrap removal and other joist assembly-related activities.Pay Range DisclaimerPlease note that the compensation details listed reflect salary only, and do not include bonus or profit-sharing.Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.BenefitsIn addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in Canam Steel Corp (CSC)'s benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, (plus additional voluntary benefits) and 401K (with employer match).Career RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED.Six months experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, steel industry preferred.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.Physical RequirementsThe ability to stand continuously, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.Frequently reach overhead with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend crouch, or crawl.Climb or balance frequently.Capable of lifting 50 lbs or moreClose vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focusWork EnvironmentWork near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.Noise in the work environment is generally very loud.PPEs RequiredThe following PPEs will be required to be worn at all times:Hard hatMetatarsal safety bootsSafety glassesEar plugsTacking shieldWelding sleevesLeather glovesShiftCurrent 1st shift, 9 hr schedule Monday - Thursday Day 5am - 2:30pm, Friday Day 5am to 1:30pm and Mandatory alternating Saturdays Day 5am to 1:30pm. When working 8 hr schedule Mon-Fri 5:00am - 1:30pm
