Job SummaryReporting to the Coordinator of Asset Management, the Asset Management Clerk is responsible for providing clerical support in acquiring, tracking, controlling, and disposing of the College's fixed assets. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Performance Requirements*
  • Follows College procedures and state guidelines for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposition of fixed assets and associated asset records
  • Maintains fixed assets records by adding new acquisitions, reviews and processes electronic equipment transfer requests, prepares and processes equipment disposal requests
  • Locates and enters new equipment acquisitions into the fixed assets database and calculates asset acquisition values from itemized invoices using mathematical computations, logical, analytical, and deductive reasoning using spreadsheets
  • Identifies and properly affixes asset tags to designated assets and controlled equipment, replaces tags, and maintains asset records
  • Performs field inventories by physically locating and identifying assets, updates asset records within the asset database using mobile technology, reconciles counts to records, investigates discrepancies, and prepares loss reports to be shared with appropriate leaders
  • Aids in locating missing assets, performs necessary equipment transfers, and reconciles exceptions; provides summaries and status reports of pending exceptions
  • Assists in the organization of surplus property sales
  • Communicates and manages relationships with all levels of the College such as faculty, staff, directors, and presidents

  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College ( TCC ) Institute
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma ( GED )
  • Current valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
  • At least (1) year's working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree
  • Certified to drive a forklift and able to operate a powered pallet jack
  • At least one (1) year's working experience maintaining a database
  • At least one (1) year's working experience using intermediate Microsoft Office to create documents, spreadsheets, and forms
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of office environments and the use of standard office equipment
  • Ability to perform mathematic calculations such as multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Skilled in organization with a detailed orientation
  • Skilled in balancing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication with legible handwriting
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
  • Skilled in using enterprise systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Forms, and Teams at an intermediate level
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
