Asset Manager | Utility Scale Solar | IPP
We are partnered with an IPP that spans 12 states and has over 130,000 acres under site control, with impressive growth plans. Their core market is utility-scale Solar PV and BESS, with 15GW of solar PV and 7GW of co-located energy storge across the US.
One of their projects project is already operational, with 950MW in construction and another three projects due to come online over the next 6 months. As a result, the team you would be joining is receiving lot of focus and investment, making now an excellent time to join the business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for managing and optimizing solar assets, focusing on performance, risk, and financial management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, construction, engineering, etc.) to ensure effective asset management.
- Manage multiple solar generation assets totalling over 200 MW.
- Ensure safe operations by collaborating with safety teams and continuously improving safety measures.
- Perform budget analysis and support profit and loss activities for assigned assets.
- Maintain relationships with clients, partners, and service providers to ensure project success.
- Monitor and analyse asset performance, ensuring compliance with reporting obligations and government regulations.
- Coordinate warranty claims and engage with OEMs and internal teams to resolve issues effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or a related field; master's preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar asset management or a related field, with a proven track record in managing large-scale solar assets.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy technology, finance, and operations.
- Leadership skills to effectively collaborate across various organizational levels.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop and implement solutions for complex challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Project management expertise to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
