The Department of Sports Administration (DSA) in the College of Business at Ohio University is home to world-ranked programs and is home to the oldest sport management program in the world. We are recruiting for one full-time, tenure-track/tenured Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Sports Administration. This position is based on our campus in beautiful Athens, Ohio, and is set to begin August 16, 2025.
The Professor will have expertise in sport business content areas and may teach in both graduate and undergraduate programs. Preference will be given to individuals with successful teaching and research in sport analytics and research methods, ability to manage student research projects, engaging and leading student organizations, and an overall record of innovation. Additional consideration given for candidates who are published scholars with an emphasis on sport analytics, quantitative methodologies. Only candidates who will have earned a Ph.D. by the start date (August 16, 2025) will be considered.
This position will typically have a five-course (15 credit hours) teaching load over Fall and Spring semesters. Salaries for the appointment are competitive based on AACSB statistics and the candidate's credentials.
About Department of Sports Administration
The DSA is one of six academic departments in the College of Business. The DSA is accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). The DSA offers one undergraduate and three graduate programs, as well as executive education.
Currently, the DSA has approximately 350 undergraduate majors in Sport Management and 175 graduate students in its three graduate programs, the Master of Business Administration/Master of Sports Administration, the Online Master of Sports Administration, and the Master of Athletic Administration.

Minimum Qualifications
* Terminal degree from an accredited institution in hand by the start date and be an active scholar in sport business/administration/management or related field.
* Expertise in one or more sport business content areas.
