Wilkes University invites applicants for a full-time, nine-month, tenure track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in pharmaceutical and/or biopharmaceutical sciences. The Nesbitt School of Pharmacy's (NSoP) mission statement is To educate and develop highly qualified professionals and notably contribute to the ever-changing science and practice of pharmacy. The Nesbitt School of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.The successful candidate will be responsible for the two semesters of didactic pharmaceutics sequence, pharmaceutical calculations, and elective course development in the candidate's area of interest.Professional Certification or License: Education: Ph.D. in the area of Pharmaceutical / Biopharmaceutical sciences. Postdoctoral experience is preferred; however, other experience/credentials will be considered (e.g., Pharm.D. degree).Professional Work Experience: Research expertise in the areas of pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, biopharmaceutics, drug delivery, or pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.Excellent record of teaching, or for new graduates, evidence of strong interest and potential in teaching is required. A consistent record of contributions to the scientific literature, and evidence of potential for success in securing extramural research grants, is highly recommended.
