Job Posting:JR100421 Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance (Open)Department:BSU Athletics Administration, JMPosition Type:RegularOpen Date:10-31-2024Close Date:$92,500Job Description:The Assistant AD for Compliance reports to the Vice President for Athletics & Recreation. Primary responsibilities include oversight of the institution's compliance program, the coordination of the institution's rules education, coordination of all recruitment activities of student-athletes with head coaches, and the maintenance and governance of all compliance regulations in conjunction with the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).All staff members have a duty to cooperate with and furnish the NCAA, the conference office or the institution with truthful and complete information concerning involvement in or knowledge of rules violations.A staff member may be suspended or terminated if found to be involved in deliberate and serious violations of NCAA regulations.Rules Education (Compliance Coffeehouses) satisfactory rules knowledge and documenting compliance activities are mandatory, and athletics personnel will be evaluated on their performance.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct and supervise all aspects of the NCAA Division II compliance program: including CIAA, NCAA, and institutional rules in the areas of recruitment, financial aid, amateurism, satisfactory academic progress, playing and practice seasons, transfer portal and initial eligibility. Manage all components of Name Image Likeness (NIL). Work with the Office of Planning, Analysis and Accountability to complete EADA, NCAA-EADA, APR, ASR, IPEDS, USM-ICA and ATS reports pursuant to deadlines. Input and monitor NCAA Squad Lists through CAI Compliance Assistance Internet software or approved software. Administer and manage Spry software. Coordinate the recruitment activities of prospective student-athletes with head coaches. Work with the office of admission and financial aid to maximize institutional resources. Organize and manage a institutional compliance team. Provide legislative and interpretive guidelines for department. Responsible for rules education program for coaches and staff. Prepare required NCAA waivers and appeals. Assist with grant-in-aids and National Letter of Intents. Assist in investigating and processing rule violations. Represent the Department of Athletics as a liaison to the CIAA and the NCAA. Assist the VP and the coaching staff with the development and maintenance of a positive working relationship with colleagues, student-athletes, parents, alumni, visitors and external communities. Assist with all internal compliance programs that impact the overall productivity and functionality of the athletics department. Serve as program liaison (sports oversight) to one or more athletic programs. Manage facility schedule for the department. Manage/oversee the complimentary ticket process for all home athletic events that require ticket sales.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred. A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in an intercollegiate athletic environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. An appreciation of a culturally diverse student population.
