Assistant Bowling Coach

Job Description:

The Assistant Coach for Women's Bowling is an administrative position. The Assistant Coach for Women's Bowling directly reports to the Head Coach and works with the Department of Athletics personnel. This individual will assist in overseeing all non-tuition revenue as it relates to the university athletic department. The Assistant Coach assists in the teaching of the sport of bowling to student-athletes, and provides coaching, recruitment, and retention of Women's Bowling athletes for the University. This individual must be results-oriented and demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic, liberal arts mission of the University and a working knowledge or previous experience with a Catholic population.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Women's Bowling Program

a. Assist in planning, coordination, and direction of all phases of Mount St. Mary's Women's Bowling program, including:

Coaching, Recruiting, Fundraising, Budget Planning, Travel Arrangement, Inventory

b. Work closely with our Women's Bowling staff members on scheduling, both in and out of season.

c. Provide technical and tactical training to individual players and groups within the team, as delegated by the Head Coach.

d. Assist in the development, management, and accountability of team protocols and standards.

2. Women's Bowling Events

a. Assist in the planning, staffing, and implementation of social events around the major university events and other Athletics events.

b. Coordinate and provide support at various at various alumni, parent, and donor events.

3. Mentorship

a. Provide mentorship to players and work closely with other Women's Bowling staff members to develop quality coaching techniques for all sides.

4. Accountability

a. Attendance at weekend and evening events as well as extensive travel.

b. Other duties as assigned by Head Coach

c. Respect and abide by university and team rules and expectations.

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

* Bachelor's Degree required.

* Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.

* Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Pay Range/Hours/Benefits

* $6,500.00 - $7,000.00

* Part time (20 hours/week)

* Tuition Remission Benefits.
