Primary Job Functions: Supervise building access and monitor students, staff, public, and public group access to high school to maintain safe and secure building.
Salary Lane: CUS12-C - Hourly pay starting at $16.54.
Assigned Workday Calendar: November 2024 - March 2025
Status: Part-Time (25 Hours per Week)
Schedule: Monday - Friday: Primarily evening hours, 4:15pm-9:15pm. Schedule will vary based on events.
Benefits: Eligible for supplemental benefits such as vision, life insurance, disability, etc. Eligible for PERF Retirement (Not eligible for medical and dental insurance.)

Qualifications:
* Educational: High school diploma or its equivalent.
* Possess Skills and Knowledge: Be able to use the equipment and supplies necessary to maintain the building security. Must be efficient, consistent, and reliable. Be able to communicate effectively with students, staff and patrons.
* Experience: None is required; however, it is mandatory that one accepts and follows instructions to become efficient in the tasks assigned.
* Certification: CPR and First Aid Certification is preferred.
* Other: Maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.
Essential Functions:
* Supervise designated areas of high school facilities.
* Maintains a safe environment in the building by monitoring hallways and entry points.
* When appropriate, provide access to approved individuals and/or groups.
* Be available for crowd control, direct visitors and oversee activities of designated areas.
* Serve as a greeter and point of contact for visitors.
* Check in with supervisor to obtain the daily/ weekly schedule and any tasks that need completed.
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
