Job Type Part-time Description Job Description: Assistant Center Director (Bilingual in Spanish & English) Location: Seymour, Indiana FLSA Status: Part-time (20 hours / week) Non-Exempt Position Objectives: To assist the Center Directors in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the CLARITY service center, while providing direct support to our Hispanic population during pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and STD testing. Essential Skills and Experience • Holds a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in a helping field, or related experience equivalent (i.e. Social Services or Healthcare Administration) • At least one year of experience as a volunteer in some ministry capacity and two years' experience in a management role • Bilingual fluency - is able to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish (conversation and written) • Exhibits skill in interpersonal communication, public speaking and problem solving • Able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship and support to volunteers • Able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision Essential Job Functions

  • Make Prayer an integral part of the day-to-day operation of the Center
  • Review client files, client advocate summaries, and offer suggestions and encouragement to volunteers
  • Oversee record-keeping and effective follow-up of clients by volunteers
  • Handle routine business calls that don't require Client Services Director assistance
  • Provide peer counseling and services for clients when client advocates are not available
  • Interact with Client Services Director to relate client or staff needs, progress of center, problems, and goal setting and implementation es to fill when serving in the Center with Center Director
  • Oversee the follow-up and closing of positive pregnancy tests client files
  • Assist in the operation of the 24-hour hotline
  • Oversee scheduling of volunteers when requested by Center Director
  • Confirm the number of clients in Scheduler monthly to match statistical reporting
  • Track Volunteer Hours for statistical purposes
  • Public Relations
  • Maintain a working relationship with agencies, physicians, churches and organizations that refer clients or accept referrals from CLARITY
  • Represent CLARITY to pastors, churches and organizations through meetings and speaking engagements as requested by the Executive Director
  • Participate and assist in fundraising activities as requested by the Executive Director
  • Miscellaneous Duties
  • Attend regular organizational meetings of CLARITY
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the Center Director or Executive Director
  • Essential Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include: sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time; operating office equipment; and lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Visual Acuity; ability to see and hear within normal parameters, must use hands and fingers to use keyboard and mouse; operate equipment or controls; reach above shoulder heights, below the waist; or lift to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required.
