Assistant Cheer Coach - Hanover Public Schools : Job Details

Responsible to the Athletic Director and/or a head coach; provides coaching, development, and supervisory responsibilities of an athletic program.The following statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and other key duties that may be required. • Reports consistently for work as scheduled
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Responsible for traveling with students to away games, and must be able to travel to all away games
• Communicates high expectations for athlete behavior and reinforces expectations
• Communicates regularly with the Athletic Director and Cheer coach
• Demonstrates effective knowledge and complies with rules and regulations of governing bodies
• Is aware of injuries to athletes and communicates with parents, is proactive with injuries, makes sure athletes are medically released to return to play
• Supervises all facilities and athletes before, during, and after practices and competitions

• Ability to be flexible and patient in work demands
• Ability to assist students in assigned areas
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Required Qualifications: ASEP Certification - American Sport Education Program, CHSAA Certification - Colorado High School Activities Association, High school graduate -high school diploma or equivalent, NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification - National Federation of State High Schools CPR
