We are seeking Assistant Civil Engineers who will work with our Utility Engineering group on New York City infrastructure design and construction projects at our office in Lower Manhattan. NV5's New York City Office operates on a four-day work week and we work on a wide variety of public and private infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Civil Engineer will engage in research, investigation, and design tasks related to roadway, infrastructure design, and construction projects for our Private Utility Clients. This may include:

    Catch basin and watermain design and alignment.
  • Record research and site investigation for utility clients and city agencies
  • Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Construction Staging.
  • Studies, development of technical drawings, preparation of estimates of quantities and writing specifications.
  • Field work for data gathering, test pit inspection, surveys and construction observations
  • Coordination with various City Agencies
Qualifications
  • A Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
  • Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD especially)
  • Knowledge of Civil3D, (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Microstation, (a plus)
  • Detailed oriented, excellent writing skills

Certifications/Licenses:

  • EIT Preferred

The pay range for this position in New York is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the New York Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
