It is seeking one million or more people from across the U.S. By doing so, it hopes to one day help speed up medical research. People who join will share information about their health, habits, and what it's like where they live. By looking for patterns, researchers may learn more about what affects people's health. Incumbent must be flexible and have reliable transportation to work in the different All of Us clinic locations around Orange County. Your Role on the Team The incumbent will be an integral member of the recruitment staff for the All of Us Research Program. Incumbent must have active CA phlebotomy license in order to draw blood samples, conduct physical measurements, and collect bio-specimens per study SOP's for the UCI All of Us Research Program. Incumbent will process samples, label and store bio-specimens for local courier pickup and may communicate with UCI lab staff regarding study participant lab draw appointments. Incumbent will maintain clean and organized lab environment and monitor inventory of supplies needed to fulfill job duties. Incumbent will engage, recruit, enroll, and retain participants in health-related research. Incumbent will communicate with All of Us Research Program participants and potential participants for enrollment, recruitment, and retention via in-person, phone, email, and/or text to introduce the program, answer study participation questions, and schedule study visits. Incumbent will assist participants with required consents, health surveys and retention activities in person or via phone and computer. Incumbent will appropriately respond to questions from study participants via phone, email and in person, will perform data entry for each participant, and provide reports to supervisor. Incumbent may be asked to perform recruitment duties at off-site outreach events, such as health fairs, conferences, etc. Travel to local clinics is requested and reliable transportation is required. Incumbent will participate in weekly staff meetings, provide status updates, communicate with other colleagues and/or investigators persons related to the project. The incumbent is expected to spend 50% of the time on recruitment of participants (e.g. in person or via phone) and 50% of the time helping participants with consents, surveys, physical measurements and biospecimens collection. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with study participants, researchers and non-researchers. Skill in writing concise and understandable documentation of procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills to relate easily and effectively with people within and outside the University, including both strong written and verbal communication. Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow up. Skill to use a personal computer, computer software program at the level of sophistication required for general office work. Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Familiarity with the Internet and how to conduct searches. Proficient writing skills to prepare/compose/review a variety of materials with accuracy and completeness. Familiarity with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) to ensure confidentiality, privacy, and security of patient information. HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities. California Phlebotomy License (ex. CPT I) Current California driver's license and ability to travel to multiple clinics in Orange County required. Experience in a health-related field. Preferred: Data entry and data base software experience preferred. Previous experience in University research setting and/or health promotion program preferred. Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish, Vietnamese or Korean.
