This role is tailor-made for finance professionals with a deep understanding of construction accounting and a proven track record of working with Spectrum Accounting software.About the RoleThe Assistant Controller will serve as a key leader within the financial management team, providing critical support to project management teams and ensuring compliance with all financial reporting and organizational processes. Your role will be crucial in overseeing project controls, cost management, financial reporting, and overall adherence to corporate policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities Project Controls & Financial Leadership:- Provide leadership and guidance for project control functions, working closely with the project management team to ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and procedures.- Collaborate with corporate finance executives, project controls managers, construction project management staff, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality financial and executory status reports. Accounting & Cost Control:- Oversee and manage accounting functions, including double-entry accounting, phase billing, cost control, and PO controls.- Finalize completion of month-end close, financial reports, work-in-process (WIP) schedules, and preparations for internal and external audits.- Lead project forecast reviews, utilizing historical and trending data to verify cost and revenue forecasting. Reporting & Compliance:- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project finance, quality control, safety, schedule, risk, contract administration, and document control.- Drive continuous improvement in organizational systems, processes, and procedures related to project controls reporting.Cost Management & Budgeting:- Manage project costs, quantity claiming, and budget structures, ensuring recommended cost adjustments are reviewed and monitored for accuracy.- Participate in the management of project invoicing, revenue collection, and monthly project cash flow projections.- Client Liaison & Communication:- Provide continuous client liaison support for the execution of all related facilities maintenance, repair, and construction of heavy civil projects.- Deliver detailed project updates to clients, coordinate associated funding, and manage project execution with in-house Public Works shops and designated contractors.- Integration of Field Operations & Financial Data:- Exhibit a commitment to acquiring a competent working knowledge of project field operations to more clearly correlate fieldwork progress with financial data reporting.- Participate in managing the project CPM schedule to accurately monitor and validate that fieldwork progress correlates with financial data reporting.RequirementsWhat We're Looking For- Spectrum/Viewpoint Superuser: Proficiency in Spectrum Accounting software or experience with multiple ERP systems in a construction setting.- Construction Finance Expertise: Extensive experience in construction-specific financial processes, including project costing, billing, and forecasting.- Analytical Acumen: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.- Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated leadership in managing project controls and working effectively with cross-functional teams.- Detail-Oriented: A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring all financial reports, reconciliations, and project controls are accurate and compliant.- Compliance & Risk Management: Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management within the construction industry.BenefitsWhy Work with Us?Career Growth: Join a company that values your expertise and offers significant opportunities for professional development.Impactful Role: Play a central role in the financial success and operational efficiency of our client's projects.Supportive Environment: Work in a collaborative and dynamic setting where your contributions are recognized and valued.Adams Limitless is committed to connecting top talent with leading companies.
