Assistant Controller - ESPO Corporation : Job Details

ASSISTANT CONTROLLER Location: Maquoketa, IAJob type: Permanent / Full-Time Our client, a worldwide Agri-Food ingredient manufacturer, is hiring an Assistant Controller for a permanent full-time role in Maquoketa, IA.The Assistant Controller position is responsible for assisting the Regional Controller in all duties ranging from data entry to annual budgets and strategic planning. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial statements and related reports including balance sheets, budgets, cost analysis, variance analysis, etc.
• Assist in tracking capital projects and maintenance budget.
• Assist in preparing and presenting financial dashboards and reports to management
• Assist in the annual budget proposal and monthly budget reviews
• Assist with invoice entry and payments.
• Assist with setting up new vendors and customers.
• Assist in company strategic planning and special projects as required
• Handle intercompany transactions.
• Process General Ledger reconciliations and Journal entry transactions.
• Update standard costing each week.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly SOX reviews.
• Update weekly and monthly HFM figures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience in Accounting/Finance.
• SAP accounting software knowledge.
• JDE experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Strong background in Excel.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Knowledgeable in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Capable of performing data analysis to draw important conclusions about the business financials.
• Cross-department communication and cooperation skills.
