Arch Amenities Group is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will focus on the leadership of the Company's billing function. The incumbent of this role will oversee billing and payment application processes and invoice management. In addition, they will partner with the Corporate Controller on specific project deliverables. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
  • Oversee billing operations and ensure they are conducted in a manner that is consistent with GAAP and the respective Contract.
  • Establish and ensure compliance with internal accounting controls, and call out risks, where necessary.
    • Ensure internal controls and accounting policies are consistent with best practices
  • Oversee the accurate application of client payments received in multiple bank accounts.
  • Reconcile GL Accounts Associated with AR and Cash, including intercompany accounts
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Resolve any payment discrepancies identified by Credit/Collections by working with the client and/or internal teams.
  • Maintain Customer records in NetSuite.
  • Work with Controller and Sr Collections Mgr. to establish the monthly Cash Collection Forecast.
    • Build up from a daily forecast
  • Oversee Fixed assets and Amortizable assets
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP, including but not limited to:
    • Creating and managing month end journal entries
    • assisting with the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process.
    • Continual improvement of the close process
  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit
  • Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Manage and develop professional accounting staff; evaluate performance and make personnel recommendations to Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA, Public accounting experience, large company experience - $75M Revenue +, NetSuite experienceEight+ years of related work experience in accounting or finance in fitness, hospitality, hotel companies, multi-unit spa, or recreation field.
