Assistant Diesel Mechanic - Moody Excavating : Job Details

Moody Excavating, LLC is currently seeking applications to fill an open position for heavy equipment mechanic/maintenance technician. All positions with Moody Excavating, LLC require the ability to work overtime as needed and properly follow company polices and OSHA safety standards for a safe working environment.Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job Duties:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment including off road trucks, excavators, & rollers
• Inspect, service, and adjust fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutches
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment & company vehicles
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed
• Ability to recognize mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems problems and formulate possible solutions
• Perform safety inspections on vehicles and equipment; conduct routine repair work under the supervision of a senior mechanic
• Assist mechanics in the performance of mechanical repairs as required
• Performs minor repairs and limited preventive maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment

Qualifications:

• A thorough understanding of diesel engines and heavy construction equipment
• Knowledgeable of both on road and off-road heavy machinery
• Must be able to pass an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) inquiry
• Must be able to use mechanics software to evaluate & close out work orders on assigned equipment
• This job has no supervisory duties
