Summary of Position

Ensures the day-to-day functionality and assists administrators in the general oversight of College Credit Plus (CCP) operations, including but not limited to information sessions, eligibility and course placement testing, application days, new student orientations, and continuing student update sessions. Responsible for program management and provides support in the designing, planning, and creation of mechanisms to set-up, implement and report credit and related programming offered via the OCAT; works with departments and external partners to identify and develop opportunities for additional programming to be offered through OCAT.

Works under general supervision and may make some work procedural decisions which do not contravene policies; generally, determines work priorities within any department/divisional guidelines.

Position Information

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provides input into College Credit Plus policies and procedures as it relates to completion of assigned work and delivery of student services.

Prepares reports and other information/documentation to assist leadership in strategic planning of the assigned area. Maintains student files, records, and data in accordance with federal, state and university regulations.

Directs and/or coordinates and assesses daily tasks related to College Credit Plus information sessions, eligibility and course placement testing, application days, new student orientations and continuing student update sessions; schedules services (at high school locations or on campus) and coordinates/assigns staff to school visits. Recommends improvements.

Recruits new school districts by meeting with district administrators to discuss CCP program policies, processes, and course offerings. Coordinates with department leadership on incorporating new districts into CCP processes.

Assists in the development of marketing and informational materials to include but not limited to news releases, brochure copy, social media, websites, CRM Communication Plans, and CampusESP, etc. Assists with the delivery of information sessions, eligibility and course placement testing, application days, new student orientations and continuing student update sessions.

Advises and assists current and prospective CCP students regarding interpretation of placement assessment, development of desired career and academic goals, and course scheduling and registration.

Regularly monitors advisees' progress, including responding to CRM Advise alerts. Serves as an advocate to help students navigate college policies and procedures. Collaborates with student support areas as needed to direct students to additional academic support services.

Assists in transitioning advisees to college-based advising upon indication of degree attainment while in high school.

Acts as lead worker over lower-level personnel.

Regularly communicates with supervisor and other staff, including student workers, as required or needed in the completion of daily tasks in support of the department's/division's overall goals and objectives.

Prepares and maintains accurate records of daily tasks in accordance with the department's/division's (or University's) policies and procedures and assures timely communication with supervisor, staff, and students where appropriate.

Gathers data and prepares reports and other information/documentation for supervisory review?related to the department's/division's programs and/or services, or one or more assigned components thereof.

Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; participates in staff development activities; attends meetings, conferences, and other events.

Maintains student files, records, and data in accordance with federal, state, and university regulations.

Identifies and explores funding opportunities; supports grant-writing activity.

Other Functions and Responsibilities: Assists with training new hires.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Equipment Operated: Computer and all other standard office equipment.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday.

Supervision Exercised: May exercise supervision over student employees.

Qualifications and Competencies

Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Completes required proctor training to administer computer-based placement testing services*.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of: University policies and procedures*; office practices and procedures; department/division goals and objectives*; department/division policies and procedures*; workplace safety practices and procedures*; English grammar and spelling; records management; office management; project management; current technologies.

Skill in: Use of office equipment; typing, data entry; computer operation; use of computer software and other programs applicable to the assigned department/division*; writing and public relations.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a bachelor's in related field; two or more years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or adult education; one year of experience with CCP; demonstrated commitment to enrollment and retention of students; and experience in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and database programs.

Preferred Qualifications: A master's degree; three or more years of experience in College Credit Plus programming, working directly with students and school administrators. Demonstrated commitment to enrollment and retention of students. Advanced knowledge of Excel; knowledge of Banner.
