Assistant Director for Data Management and Institutional Assessment - New York University : Job Details

Reporting to Tandon's Chief of Staff (CoS) & Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives, the Assistant Director for Data Visualization and Institutional Assessment will be responsible for the development, design and maintenance of Tandon's data visualization dashboards. Working closely with the CoS and Tandon's Director of Assessment and Institutional Research, the incumbent will gather school-wide data and develop a series of understandable, dynamic and enlightening stakeholder-facing dashboards that will be used to fuel decision-making among the school's leadership. Key stakeholders include the school's deans, department chairs, faculty, staff and board members.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree.Required Experience: 5+ years of data management, analysis, visualization and analytics experience, ideally in a large academic or non-profit environment.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience and proficiency with Tableau software; Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills; Proficient in MS Office; Proficient project management skills.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of federal & state regulations applicable to higher education; Knowledge of higher education or non-profit organization administration systems and rules & regulations; Able to present complex information to senior administrators in a non-technical manner; Desire to innovate and use data to help drive positive institutional change.
