We especially encourage women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and people with disabilities to apply.Position Title Assistant Director of Athletics for Donor and Fan Experience Position Number 897338 School/Division Athletic Development (division) DepartmentFull-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description Reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Revenue Officer, the Assistant Director of Athletics for Donor and Fan Experience is a senior member of the Athletic Department's external relations team. This position is responsible for generating revenue through annual fundraising for athletics and events. This position has supervision of other administrative areas.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops solicitation strategies to increase membership for the Pride Club, the department's membership driven annual campaign.
  • Organizes the department of athletics events including but not limited to homecoming, alumni days, watch parties, away trips and golf outings.
  • Manages a donor portfolio of 50 prospects and meets annual solicitation, meeting and dollars raised goals.
  • Organizes stewardship efforts for all athletic donors.
  • Manages game day responsibilities for the Hofstra Pride Lounge for donors and friends.
  • Oversees the marketing and promotions office working with its staff on a daily basis regarding marketing, promotions, student initiatives, advertising, season ticket sales and group sales initiatives.
  • Manages the Director of Creative and Digital Strategy.
  • Sets and reaches attendance goals each year.
  • Assists with the department's efforts to regulate the use of the athletic logos and marks while working with the retail community and Hofstra University's licensing partner to expand the proper use of the marks.
  • Coordinates with the University's Athletic Communications Office and University Relations Office to ensure that all printed materials are appropriate to the Hofstra University Style Guide and properly represents the University.
  • All staff members are responsible for complying with the policies and procedures set forth by Hofstra University, the Coastal Athletic Association, the NCAA, and the job requirements specific to the particular assignments inherent to athletic administration.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1 - 2 years' relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • This position requires working weekends and holidays and attending athletic events as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 - 6 years of revenue generation experience preferably in college athletics.
  • Experience in sponsorship sales, marketing and/or ticket sales.
  • Graphic design experience.
