Salary: $65,876.00 - $74,111.00 Annually Location : Queensbury 12804, NY Job Type: Full-Time (12-Month) Job Number: 202400064 Division: Enrollment & Student Affairs Department: Athletics Opening Date: 09/20/2024 Closing Date: 10/4/2024 11:59 PM Eastern Broad Function Organize and facilitate opportunities for students to participate in athletic competition both on and off campus. The opportunity to serve as a coach is permitted, in an open coaching position, with demonstrable experience recruiting, coaching, training and mentoring student athletes. Major Responsibilities Coordinate specific aspects of the department that include sports information, athletic facilities (in-door and outdoor), mascot(s), and equipment management. Report to the Director of Athletics and assist with game management, eligibility and scheduling. Will have a high level of autonomy to work without supervision while overseeing athletics events (specifically during nights, weekends and off campus). A variable work schedule is required based upon scheduled events which may take place during nights and weekends and may be of extended duration. •Hires, trains, schedules, arranges and supervise game management and staff to include scoreboard operators, scorekeepers, lines people, game-day staffing, athletic trainers, etc. for all home events •Assist with game operations in collaboration with the Facility Manager and other departments to include acting as Game Administrator for select home intercollegiate athletics contests •Manage the athletics website and social media accounts in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications office •Design, write and edit game programs, media guides and other promotional publications for the Athletic department. Assist with Hall of Fame and Athletic Awards ceremonies. •Maintain athletic records, Hall of Fame, statistical files and update the college's athletic website through PRESTO SPORTS •Knowledge and implementation of all rules, regulations, and policies governing the collegiate sports program, and mediate conflicts and official protests. •Schedule team photos, headshots, and action photos •Assist Director with distribution of information to campus and/or local, state, and national media in conjunction with the Office of Marketing & Communications •Assist coaching staff with fundraising •Serve as administrator in charge for Athletics in the Director's absence •Coordinate all functions of College Mascot •Other duties as assigned by President Required Skills Strong organizational, management and teamwork skills. Solid administration and computer skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in related field (Master's degree preferred). Years of Experience 1 - 4 years' experience in student affairs and/or athletics. Experience working in either K-12 or College Athletics. Experience supervising part-time workers, a plus. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Office environment. Gym and sports environment. Exerting 25 - 100 lbs. rarely. 10 - 50 lbs. occasionally.
