Job Description - Assistant Director of Catering - Washington Hilton (HOT0B4YF) Washington Hilton is hiring an Assistant Director of Catering! This role will be responsible for the development of market segment(s) including negotiation of business through proposals, prospecting new customer relations, and having a passion for closing business! The iconic Washington Hilton, located in the heart of Washington, D.C., is a premier destination for events of all sizes. Featuring one of the largest pillarless ballrooms in the city, the property offers over 100,000 square feet of event space spanning three floors, a private lounge with luxury seating, and an outdoor courtyard complete with a firepit. It's the ideal venue for conventions, nonprofit dinners, association gatherings, and more. What is the ideal candidate?The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of senior catering experience in a fast-paced hotel environment, with a proven ability to maintain relationships with corporate and social accounts while successfully soliciting new business. Experience with big box hotels, proficiency in Delphi FDC, and a passion for driving innovation and creating exceptional event experiences are essential. Shift Pattern: Full availability is required, with the option for a flexible work schedule. Pay Rate: $95,000- $103,000 per annum - [final offer based on experience] The Benefits:

    • Drive innovation and creativity in event delivery.
    • Maintain high-quality service standards by reviewing and improving processes and procedures.
    • Strategically manage bookings in this group-centric hotel environment, maximizing revenue and managing space expectations.
    • Support the Director of Catering & Events in achieving superior guest service, team engagement, financial performance, and operational excellence.
    • Actively participate in the sales process and foster internal customer relationships to ensure consistent, exceptional service throughout all event phases.
    • Lead with Hilton values and inspire a high-performing, collaborative team.
    • Manage departmental budgets, short- and long-term forecasting, and cost reporting for events.
    • Remain current on event trends and incorporate them into the planning and execution process. What are we looking for?
