Assistant Director of Client Services

Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Director of Client Services to join a rapidly growing organization in the retirement plan services industry. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership while managing client relationships, overseeing project management, and ensuring the highest level of customer service. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and independent professional with a strong background in finance, HR, or project management, and a keen attention to detail. The Assistant Director will play a crucial role in delivering timely and accurate administrative support for 401k, 403b, and defined benefit pension plans. The salary is $75-90K DOE. This position is on-site M-F in Amherst, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring seamless implementation and timely delivery of services.
  • Manage issue resolution when problems arise with external service providers, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Provide exceptional customer service as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations.
  • Consult daily with clients regarding changes to their retirement plans and assist prospects in setting up new plans.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a client relationship management role, preferably within a third-party service provider specializing in defined benefit plans.
  • Experience in HR, finance, or project management is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Project management experience is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to pursue QKA certification with employer support.
