Reports to: Director of Education Programs
As the Assistant Director of Education Program Services, you will work closely with the Director to oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational program services for preschool children with disabilities. You will be responsible for managing a diverse team, ensuring programmatic excellence, and supporting the growth and sustainability of the education initiatives. This position requires a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the education field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Assist in the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of educational programs, ensuring they meet the needs of students and comply with relevant standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor program staff, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and productive environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to ensure program goals are met and maintain strong relationships with educators, community leaders, and partners.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on program data to assess the effectiveness and impact of educational initiatives. Use data to inform decision-making and program improvements.
- Training & Development: Coordinate and lead professional development opportunities for staff, ensuring that they have the tools and knowledge needed to support students effectively.
- Budget & Resource Management: Assist with budget development, resource allocation, and ensure programs stay within budget while maximizing impact.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all education programs align with industry standards, policies, and regulations.
Education/Experience:
- Master's Degree in Special Education or related field.
- At least five years of experience as a Special Education Teacher and four years of experience as a School Administrator.
- New York State Permanent Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
- New York State Permanent Certification as a School Administrator and Supervisor.
- Valid New York State Driver's License and maintain it in good standing.
