Salary: $81,000-$89,000 annually

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing with the administration of assigned nursing units, including policy development, organizational planning and the direction of the delivery of geriatric nursing care, as well as the development and monitoring of standards of gerontological nursing practices.
  • Assists the Director of Nursing in day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department.
  • Assists in the management of nursing staff. Completes daily rounds of the assigned units to ensure that all nursing staff are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards and Federal, State, and organizational rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Completes nursing care functions for the facility. Informs staff of new admissions, reviews nurses notes, monitors medication passes and treatments, provides direct nursing care as needed.

Requirements:

  • Iowa RN license required.
  • CPR certified
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience required.
  • At least 1 year recent clinical experience related to geriatric nursing
