JOB TITLE: Assistant Director of Project Management
AGENCY: Construction & Development
REPORTS TO: Director Project Management or Senior Director Design
WORK LOCATION: 2 Broadway - Various
HOURS OF WORK: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or as required (7.5HR/DAY)
SALARY RANGE: $113,944 to $148,265
SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director of Project Management is responsible for successfully managing and mentoring staff to deliver complex capital and operating projects. This includes coordinating project activities through project close-out, leading projects or designated program initiatives, and supervising activities performed by internal staff and consultants. The role requires highly qualified, experienced, and skilled personnel with extensive knowledge of engineering and construction and a proven record in program management, contract administration, project management, and construction engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and maintain remote/field access to infrastructure data from systems such as Weigh-in-Motion and Structural Health Monitoring.Document and maintain B&T infrastructure network diagrams and interface with MTA Network Architect.Review and comment on engineering system designs that connect to Operating Technology (OT) or Information Technology (IT).Facilitate and provide answers to network connection-related RFIs.Coordinate new engineering software acquisition with Enterprise System Applications and MTA IT.Develop and integrate Biennial Inspection data using visualization from BIM.Monitor and manage all Program Technical Service (PTS) in-house project files, including CAD, BIM, and reality scan files.Manage contractor access to Asite and ProjectWise by requesting, onboarding, and extending accounts for all B&T Projects.Manage internal project team access to Asite and ProjectWise for all B&T Projects.Upon project close-out, coordinate with the Project Manager to archive all project files.Manage distribution of existing BIM, CADD & survey files for new projects by coordinating with the B&T Engineering Information Center and ProjectWise Support team.Visualize BIM and reality scan submittals with Bentley iTwin and Cintoo software for progress reviews.Process Overweight and Over-dimensional Vehicle Permits.Produce monthly reports and quarterly articles.Research and stay up to date with technology and software.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience.At least four (4) years in the management of construction programs/projects or a supervisory role in a large, multi-faceted organization.Professional experience in managing IT/OT networks and security-sensitive digital assets.Comprehensive knowledge of Project Management Systems and Check-in/Check-out File Management Systems.Experience with computer, network, printer, firewall, and SFTP.Proficiency in CADD/BIM and reality Capture Visualization Software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenBuildings, Context Capture, and Cintoo.PMP Certification preferred.Knowledge of the Authority's practices, procedures, and ODOW Vehicle Permitting Rules and Regulations.Strong business administration skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).Proven leader as a change agent and creative/innovative thinker to align business goals with solutions to drive process improvements.Excellent team-building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to work in a high-profile, high-pressure environment effectively.Focus and ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.).OTHER INFORMATION:
