Apply now!Job SummaryThe Assistant Director for Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for the identification, invitation and enrollment of students into Rensselaer's educational community. The Assistant Director may be assigned a geographical region, a school, a program or an area to develop and implement. In addition, this position will develop and build relationships with community colleges, including their faculty and staff to help build a pipeline of potential transfer students, and educate faculty, staff and students on transfer requirements and transfer opportunities at Rensselaer. The Assistant Director will conduct in-person and virtual information sessions, travel to college fairs or college-based information sessions; and participate in the planning and execution of on-campus events.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in related fieldTwo (2) years of professional experience to include demonstrated excellence in customer service, strong computing skills, and experience interacting with the publicValid driver's licenseRelevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.Preferred QualificationsExperience in higher education, especially transfer and undergraduate student admissionsMinimum Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills.Excellent customer service skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.Ability to work with a diverse population.Strong computer skills and knowledge.Understanding of customer service and marketing and the willingness to go the extra mile for our customersAbility to develop a good rapport with other administrative staffExcellent people skillsAbility to manage often conflicting prioritiesAbility to deal effectively with a dynamic and fast-paced officeExcellent decision-making skillsShiftBusiness Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally requiredTravelRegular overnight travel is required (up to 25%)DrivingDriving a personal vehicle for non-passenger useStarting Salary/RateExpected hiring range: $58,700 - $60,000Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials.
