Assistant Dispatcher - MP RPO : Job Details

Who are you:

The Assistant Dispatcher supports the Dispatcher and Drivers to ensure customer orders are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently with a focus on customer service.

What you will be doing:

• Finish and file delivery paperwork from previous day(s), and relay any relevant information, that the delivery teams provided to you, to the proper Manager/Salesperson
• Interact with the Sales Team throughout the day; via text, email, IM and phone regarding delivery or scheduling issues.
• Route all delivery vehicles and make confirmation calls for the following day.
• Notate pertinent information on customer invoices.
• Facilitate resolution to a problem(s), the Delivery Team may be experiencing.
• Create and post the work schedule for all Delivery and Warehouse Personnel.
• Other duties related to the position to be described when interviewed.

Our ideal candidate has:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college coursework or an associate degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in customer service, office administration, or a similar role preferred.
• 1+ years in dispatching or control
• Proven customer service experience.
• Sounds judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data tracking and reporting.
• Ability to handle sensitive customer information and resolve escalations in a professional manner.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to adapt to changes in workload and schedule based on company needs.
